Why healthcare professionals are in high demand in Germany:
Healthcare sector is the backbone of any economy. Good healthcare services contribute to the enhancement of wellbeing in society, generation of productive workforce, multiplication of economy and advancement of technology. So, for a disease-free, happy and productive society, healthcare sector has to be very strong.
However, certain developed countries have experienced inadequate supply of healthcare professionals from domestic sources. There are several reasons for that. The countries like Germany, Austria and Switzerland also are some among them, where these professionals have been less than required over couple of years.
On top of that, the population composition is Germany is not balanced. It is having more dependency ratio than the working population. That means, Germany requires the medical professionals from outside, so that they can take care of dependent population, i.e children and old age population.
Additionally, Germany is Europe’s largest economy and world’s 3rd largest economy. It needs to have strong and robust healthcare system to keep the working population healthy and fit, if it has to maintain this position. This can be done only if the nurses and other medical professionals are called from outside.
Besides, Germany’s location in the heart of Europe, its global stature, its modern values like individualization, its engineering and IT, and the educational and employment opportunities have always been appealing for the people from outside.
Moreover, the healthcare system in Germany is highly advanced and so there are chances for the nurses to assume significant professional roles and to have career advancements. Financial motivation is also there for the nurses, as they are paid huge.
Basic requirements for practising nursing in Germany:
- GNM Diploma or BSc/MSc Degree in Nursing
- B1/B2 level German Language certification
- Experience is not required, but if the candidate has experience, then it is plus point.
